The International Choir, directed by Michel Brousseau, conductor and artistic director, is dedicated to organizing tours and projects with an international artistic vocation.

In July 2021, the International Choir will tour Italy.  Its rich and flourishing vineyard are also be part of the excursion package. Carl Orff’s renowned masterpiece, Carmina Burana will be performed.

2019

Austria and Czech Republic July 18-30, 2019

Seven concerts in five of the country’s most beautiful historic Cathedrals and churches.

Program: Mozart’s Requiem

Guest artists: Noriko Hashimoto, soprano (Japan / Canada); Stéphanie Pothier, Mezzo Soprano (Canada); Pascal Charbonneau, Tenor (Canada); Adam Zaremba, Bariton (Poland); Gianluca Luisi, pianist (Italy)

The Choeur international begins its tour in Salzburg with two concerts. The first is held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral and the second at St. Gnigl The Choir then moves to Vienna, where it gives two concerts at St. Michael’s Church, and a third concert at the famous St-Stephen’s Cathedral, in Stephensplatz the following day.  The choirs final two concerts takes place in Prague on the 29th at St-Nicholas Cathedral near the famous Astronomical clock.

The tour closes with a celebratory dinner cruise along the Czech National river, the Vltava.

United Kingdom July 19-31, 2017

Four concerts in four of the country’s most beautiful historic Cathedrals.

Program: two major works by English composer John Rutter, the Gloria and the Magnificat

Guest artists: Maria Knapik, soprano (Poland / Canada); Gianluca Luisi, pianist (Italy)

The Choeur international begins its tour in Scotland with two concerts. The first is held at St. Ninians Cathedral in Perth, and the second at the famous St. Giles Cathedral, in Edinburgh. The Choir then moves to London, where it gives a concert at St. Albans Cathedral, and a concert at Southwark Cathedral, in downtown London.

Romania June 27-July 11, 2013

Four concerts in four of the country’s most beautiful historical churches

Program : La Grand-Messe by great Québec poet and interpreter Gilles Vigneault, and the Oratorio The Argeş Monastery Romanian national composer Iacob Mureşianu.

Guest artists from Romania: Corina Klein, soprano; Gabriela Hazarian, mezzo soprano;

Liviu Iftene, tenor; Mihai Irimia, tenor; Dan Popoescu, baritone; Ana-Maria Negrea, pianist.

The theme of the Romanian Tour was the discovery and promotion of Canadian and Romanian cultural values. The Choir gave a concert in the following venues: The National Theater Oleg Danovski, Constanta; The famous Black Church, and the Church of St. Bartolomeu, both in Brasov; and the St. Iosif Cathedral, Bucharest.

France August 15-29, 2011

Five concerts in five of the most prestigious cathedrals and churches in France

Program: Messe solennelle de Saint Remi & Messe de la délivrance by French composer Théodore Dubois.

French music lovers were thrilled to rediscover these two works thanks to Maestro Brousseau and the Choeur international.

Concerts: the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre (Montpellier); The Church of La Madeleine and the Church of Notre-Dame, (Paris); The Cathédrale de Saint-Étienne (Metz); And the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims, where the Choir was invited to present the two works by Théodore Dubois as part of the celebrations marking the 800th anniversary of the Cathedral.

The Choeur international gave a series of concerts in the provinces of Catania and Ragusa where it participated, among other things, in the 14th Ragusani nel Mondo Prize in the city of Ragusa.

Six concerts: Mascalucia; Riposto; Milo; Comiso; Campobello di Licata; and Ragusa

Program: Great Arias from Verdi operas (Il Trovatore / La Traviata / Nabucco), Donizetti (Lucia di Lammermoor) and from Puccini’s Messa di Gloria

Guest artists: Steeve Michaud, tenor (Quebec); Dorotea Doroteyava, soprano (Germany); Rosen Ivanov Krastev, baritone-bass (Bulgaria); Gianfranco Pappalardo-Fiumara (Italy) and Daniele Petralia (Sicily), pianists; Philharmonic Orchestra of Poeiesti.

Carnegie Hall, New York June 12, 2010

Maestro Brousseau and the Choeur international were invited to perform the Messe solennelle de Saint Remi by French composer Théodore Dubois at Carnegie Hall, in New York City, with the New England Symphonic Ensemble. This event marked the first presentation of this work on a stage in the United States. This work, as well as the Messe de la délivrance by the same composer, have since been recorded under label ATMA Classique.
